Reimagine

NEIGHBORHOOD LIVING

WHERE COLLABORATION SHINES

Craft a legacy, make meaningful connections, and contribute to our rich history. Harvester redefines the neighborhood experience, cultivating a space full of genuine relationships, support, and shared values. We are so thankful for our business sponsors; please let them know the you appreciate them too!

A DIFFERENT KIND OF NEIGHBORHOOD FEEL

Our unique bus shelter is almost completed after three years of planning. This has been an exercise in collaboration, and patience! Thanks especially to Pastor Rocco and the Jesus Name Church, and the creative team at Design Collaborative. We are awaiting the installation of the roof, and once the weather breaks, we will host a grand opening! Stay tuned for more updates!

Beauty is Celebrated Even in the Winter

The historic McCormick Pavilion was built by the family of Cyrus McCormick. He was one of the founders of International Harvester. One possible goal for beautification and creating space for community connections is to add features to the park. Send your ideas; we need your input. What would you like to see that makes this gem (in the middle of our neighborhood) shine even brighter?

Where community meets character

Our community beams with genuine interactions, the value of lending a hand when needed, or simply the joy of sharing a cup of sugar.

Rich with History

Get to know the history of our community, its innovation in the past and for the future. Fort Wayne leaders established the neighborhood as part of the efforts to bring International Harvester to our city. IH started production in 1923, and continued for 60 years. The PBS documentary highlights the history in "Truck Town," released this year. The Public Arts Council's program "Shout Out" is also developing a documentary of our neighborhood -- posting soon!
